Margin & Discount Enforcer

Stop approving margin-killing discounts on instinct. Paste a rep's raw quote plus the structured line items and the Margin & Discount Enforcer computes margin, discount and FX-normalized totals to the cent — then routes the deal against your own approval matrix.

What this workflow does

It turns a rep's pricing ask into CFO-grade unit economics, with the math kept strictly separate from the AI.

• Computes Exact Unit Economics: Calculates margin, discount and totals using integer-cent math (no floats), so the numbers are penny-accurate.
• Normalizes Currency: FX-normalizes non-USD deals using the rate you supply — it never calls a live FX API behind your back.
• Auto-Routes the Deal: Returns AUTO_APPROVE / REVIEW / REJECT against your margin floor and the 10% / 20% discount approval matrix.
• Shows a Math Receipt: Every figure comes with a step-by-step receipt you can audit line by line.
• Quotes Risky Language: The AI flags risky concessions (free implementation, Net 60) verbatim — but never touches the math.

How to run it

Open the workflow console, paste your line items (one per line: SKU, list price, revenue, COGS, qty) and set the source currency. For non-USD deals add the FX rate, and optionally set your margin floor and paste the rep's raw quote for verbatim risk quoting. Hit run for a routed decision with a full math receipt.

Frequently asked questions

Is the margin math affected by the AI?

No. Margin, discount and totals are computed deterministically from your structured line items using integer-cent math. The AI is used only to quote risky language verbatim — it never influences the numbers.

How are non-USD deals handled?

You supply the FX rate (1 unit of source currency = X USD). The engine normalizes to USD with that rate and never calls a live FX feed, so stale rates are your call, not a hidden surprise.

What if my line items have no list price?

Leave list_price blank and provide a global discount % instead — the engine can still route the deal even without per-SKU list pricing.
